West Ham United clashed heads with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Hammers made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 18th minute thanks to Mohammed Kudus’ goal. However, Dejan Kulusevski equalised for the home side in the 36th minute as Julen Lopetegui’s men went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.
Yves Bissouma scored for Tottenham in the 52nd minute before Alphonse Areola scored an unfortunate own goal a few minutes later. Heung-min Son killed the game at the hour mark before Kudus was sent off by the referee in the 86th minute. The London derby finished with West Ham suffering a poor 4-1 loss away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each West Ham United player performed during the match against Spurs.

Wan-Bissaka worked his socks off at both ends of the pitch.
CB: Jean-Clair Todibo – 6/10

He caught the eye at times but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
CM: Tomas Soucek – 6/10
Soucek came back to defend when he could but lacked quality in the final third.

His impact on the game was minimal in the opposition half. Paqueta failed to put in a good shift defensively as well.

Kudus caused a lot of headaches for the Tottenham defenders and managed to score in the 18th minute. However, he let his teammates down by getting sent off late in the game.

He worked hard but never looked like he would score.
