As reported by Fichajes, Premier League club Liverpool are desperate to bring Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush to Anfield. They are even considering submitting a €60 million bid for the striker in the January transfer window.
The Rise of Omar Marmoush
Omar Marmoush arrived at Eintracht Frankfurt last summer from VFL Wolfsburg. He took little time to settle down and started delivering the goods immediately. He has emerged as one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga league.
Marmoush netted 17 goals in just 41 games last season apart from making six assists. He also averaged 2.7 shots, 1.4 key passes, and 1.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Egyptian plays as a striker but is also capable of featuring as a left-winger. He is known for his pace, direct plays, athleticism, and clinical finishing. He doesn’t shy away from taking a shot whenever there is even little space.
Omar Marmoush is in high demand
Arne Slot inherited Jurgen Klopp’s squad and made only two additions, including Federico Chiesa being the only outfield player. Hence, it’s natural that the new boss will soon prefer bringing players of his choice and building his team differently.
One of the names Slot is keen to bring is Omar Marmoush. The 25-year-old is a lethal striker and has an unorthodox play style. His qualities and versatility up front will surely add a lot of value to Liverpool’s unit.
Marmoush’s arrival will also be a hint that Darwin Nunez might have departed from Anfield. The latter has struggled to perform consistently with Diogo Jota emerging as the first-choice striker for Liverpool in recent times.
Discussing about the transfer, Marmoush’s signing won’t be easy especially in the January window if Eintracht Frankfurt remain in the Bundesliga title race. With interest from multiple European clubs and a long-term hold on the player, the German side will surely demand a high price to sanction his move.
