Newcastle United welcomed Manchester City at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. Anthony Gordon equalised for the Tyneside club from the penalty spot in the 58th minute as the Tyneside club earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw in front of their home fans.

He worked his socks off and made one good chance in the final third.

The Brazilian talent anchored the midfield well and made a few decent runs with the ball from midfield.
CM: Joelinton – 7/10
Joelinton performed his defensive duties well and was not shy of having a strike at goal.
RW: Jacob Murphy – 6.5/10
Murphy used his pace well at times on the right flank but was lackluster in front of the Man City goal.
ST: Anthony Gordon – 7.5/10
He caused a lot of problems for the Man City centre-backs and managed to earn a penalty which he converted in the 58th minute.
LW: Harvey Barnes – 6.5/10
Barnes had a few strikes at goal but failed to take his chances.
