West Ham United will face off against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium this Saturday as they look to secure a victory on their travels in the Premier League. The Hammers suffered a poor 5-1 loss away at Liverpool recently, so they would be eager to bounce back with a win versus the Bees this weekend.
Julen Lopetegui will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Michail Antonio will spearhead West Ham’s attack up top while Danny Ings makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Alphonse Areola will play in goal for West Ham after being rested in midweek. Max Kilman will operate alongside Konstantinos Mavropanos at the centre of Lopetegui’s defence as they look to maintain a good shape on the defensive end of the field.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will fill in as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Jean-Clair Todibo will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Tomas Soucek will anchor the midfield alongside Guido Rodriguez as they try to make life difficult for the home team in the middle of the park. The gifted trio of Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen will play just ahead of them as part of West Ham’s attack. All three of them need to find a way to create enough chances for the Hammers to win this Premier League contest.
Carlos Soler and Crysencio Summerville will be named on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required. However, Edson Alvarez will miss this game due to suspension.
Attack
Michail Antonio will lead the line for the East London club in the final third. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in and around the Brentford penalty box.
Niclas Fullkrug is a major doubt for this game as he continues to recover from his calf injury.
