Arsenal welcomed Bolton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home in the EFL Cup. The Gunners made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 16th minute thanks to Declan Rice’s strike. Ethan Nwaneri doubled his team’s advantage in the 37th minute as Mikel Arteta‘s men went into the half-time interval 2-0 up on the scoreline.
Nwaneri scored again for Arsenal in the 49th minute before Aaron Collins got a goal back for the visitors just four minutes later. Raheem Sterling scored his team’s fourth goal from point-blank range in the 64th minute before Kai Havertz added another goal in the 77th minute. The contest ended with Arsenal securing a dominant 5-1 win at the Emirates.

Nwaneri was a constant menace in the final third and has got two goals to his name.

He anchored the midfield well and won his fair share of aerial duels.
CM: Declan Rice – 8/10
Rice performed his defensive duties well and managed to score and create a goal as well.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 7.5/10
He caused a lot of problems for the opposition defenders but there was no goal for him.
ST: Gabriel Jesus – 8/10
Jesus made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball but failed to find the back of the net.
LW: Raheem Sterling – 8.5/10
The English wide player was a real threat on the left wing and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.
