Chelsea welcomed Barrow at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a comfortable victory at home in the EFL Cup. The Blues made a quick start to the clash and got their noses ahead in the eighth minute thanks to Christopher Nkunku’s effort. Nkunku doubled his team’s lead in the 15th minute before Paul Farman scored an unfortunate own goal just 13 minutes later. Enzo Maresca’s men went into the half-time break 3-0 up on the scoreline.
Pedro Neto got his name on the scoresheet in the 48th minute before Nkunku completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute. The contest finished with Chelsea securing a dominant 5-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
