In a recent report, AS mentioned that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Valencia defender Yarek Gasiorowski. It has been stated that Los Blancos are monitoring the progress of the Spanish centre-back.
Gasiorowski’s Impressive Rise In Spain
Gasiorowski caught the eye at times with his performances at the centre of Valencia’s defence in the previous campaign. The Spanish youngster made 14 league appearances for his current employers last season but failed to score or create a goal for them.
The 19-year-old was a dominant presence inside his half and did well to average 1.6 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and 3.2 clearances per game in La Liga. He even distributed the ball relatively well after completing 74.8% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Spanish club will run out at the end of this campaign which could open the door for Real Madrid to sign him on a cut-price deal this January or on a free transfer next summer.
Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Snap Gasiorowski Up?
Gasiorowski is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his side on the defensive end of the field. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot and can even play his way out from the back.
Standing at 1.92m, the Spanish whizkid can use his strong frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air when he is playing well on the field. However, he is still quite inexperienced at the highest level and would need time to adjust to life at Real Madrid.
At 19, there is no denying that Gasiorowski is a prospect to watch out for in the future. Therefore, Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti would be wise to try everything in his power to snap him up next year.
Gasiorowski is already good enough to serve as a good, rotational piece in Real Madrid‘s squad. He might even help the Madrid giants challenge for a lot of major honours over the next decade. Hence, Ancelotti would be wise to bring the Spanish centre-half to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next year.
