Real Madrid will welcome Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this Saturday night as they look to pick up a win at home in La Liga. Los Blancos managed to secure a 3-1 victory over VfB Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League recently which should keep them in high spirits ahead of this game this weekend.
Carlo Ancelotti will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make one change to his first XI for this game. Eder Militao will play from the start of this contest after he was rested on the bench in midweek.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Espanyol
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will operate in goal for the Madrid outfit after conceding one goal against Stuttgart earlier this week. Eder Militao will play alongside Antonio Rudiger at the centre of the Real Madrid backline as they look to keep a clean sheet this weekend.
Dani Carvajal will fill in as the right-back while Ferland Mendy hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Ancelotti would ask both of them to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Fran Garcia will offer cover for the left-back position on the bench.
Midfield
Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde will make up Ancelotti’s midfield. Their main focus would be to dominate the game in the middle of the park and engineer a lot of clear-cut chances in the final third.
Luka Modric will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Vinicius Jr. will continue to operate as the left-winger while Rodrygo hopes to impress as the right-sided wide player. Kylian Mbappe will lead the line for the Madrid outfit on the offensive end of the field. The French striker managed to score in midweek and would be looking to do the same against Espanyol this Saturday night.
Endrick will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the final quarter if Los Blancos are in need of a goal by then.
