Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a woeful season and are too far behind in the race for the playoff spots. Loitering four places above the drop zone, they are just seven points above Burton Albion, who are placed 22nd in the league table at the moment. The Wolves have been shambolic throughout the season and there is an undeniable need of someone who can pull them from the cauldron of helplessness.
The January transfer market is still up and running, so it would be wise to get hold of a player or two who can help the team up their form in the remainder of the season so that they can finish high in the league table. Sky Bet Championship is poised for yet another epic conclusion as teams will tear each other apart to see their goals being met. Apparently, reports have emerged that talks are being held between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Norwich City for a possible loan move of Josh Murphy from the latter to the former.
Josh Murphy is one-half of Murphy-twins for Norwich City who have seen a reminiscing rise to a significant pedestal at the Carrow Road, the other one being Jacob Murphy. The prolific duo is seen as great prospects in English football for their versatility on both the flanks. Though Jacob is arguably the much-renowned one of the two, Josh isn’t far behind either. The 21-year-old youngster has already scored seven goals this term, most of which have come in cup competitions.
He has thus drawn a lot of attention from Championship sides, Wolves in particular and interestingly, he also made a substitute appearance against them last weekend where the Canaries battered them by a 3-1 score line. A Norwich City man through and through, he has been a fruitful product from Norwich’s youth system and eventually found a way to the senior side. It is lovely to see a youngster like him blistering down the flanks and not playing within himself. The England U21 had a wonderful time with MK Dons, featuring regularly and finding his feet.
Lambert is short of funds and Josh Murphy would be an astute signing, considering his budget. He loves to aid the strikers, cuts in sharply from the wings and toils meticulously up and down the pitch. He splits up the opponents’ defence with his eye-catchy moves in the final third and thus, he wouldn’t be a risky signing for Wolves in the ongoing transfer window.
