Newcastle United will face off against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a positive result away from home in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to grind out a 2-1 win away at Wolverhampton Wanderers recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Eddie Howe will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and would be sweating on the fitness of Alexander Isak. The Swedish striker is a major doubt for this clash due to a head injury.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Fulham
Defence
Nick Pope will operate in between the sticks for the Tyneside club after he conceded one goal in his last league appearance. Fabian Schar will resume his partnership with Dan Burn at the centre of the Newcastle backline as they try to keep the Fulham attackers quiet during the game.
Tino Livramento will get a chance to impress as the right-back while Lloyd Kelly hopes to prove his value on the other flank as the left-back. Howe will instruct both of them to keep things solid at the back and offer some decent service to the front players.
Emil Krafth will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali will make up Howe’s midfield. All three of them would have to move the ball well and orchestrate a few decent chances for their teammates in the final third.
Joe Willock will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Harvey Barnes will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Anthony Gordon tries to catch the eye as the right-sided wide player. Alexander Isak will be in a race against time to be fit for this game. He should get the nod to lead the charge for the Magpies if he can pass a late fitness test.
William Osula and Miguel Almiron will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the latter stages of the contest if needed.
