Chelsea will face off against West Ham United at the London Stadium this Saturday afternoon as they hope to earn a win on their travels in the Premier League. The Blues managed to earn a narrow 1-0 win over Bournemouth recently, so they will go into this London derby full of confidence this weekend.
Enzo Maresca will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Jadon Sancho, Enzo Fernandez and Tosin Adarabioyo will play from the start of this contest.
4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Robert Sanchez will continue to feature in goal for the West London club after he kept a clean sheet in his last league appearance. Tosin Adarabioyo will probably get the nod to function alongside Levi Colwill at the heart of Chelsea‘s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the game.
Wesley Fofana will get a chance to impress as the right-back while Marc Cucurella hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack during this London derby.
Benoit Badiashile will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on making life tough for the home side in the middle of the park. The pacey trio of Jadon Sancho, Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke will play just ahead of them as part of Maresca’s attack. All three of them need to link up play well in the opponent’s half and engineer some clear-cut chances up top.
Joao Felix and Pedro Neto will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Nicolas Jackson will lead the charge for the West London giants in the final third. He has to find a way to be a real threat in and around the West Ham penalty area.
Christopher Nkunku has to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the derby if needed.
