As reported by CaughtOffside, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Girona’s Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez. The Premier League club are even considering sending their scouts to watch the La Liga club talents in action.
Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez have been impressive
Viktor Tsygankov joined Girona last summer from Dynamo Kyiv while Miguel Gutierrez arrived in the summer of 2022 from Real Madrid. Both the players have established themselves as an integral part of the first team setup.
Tsygankov, who plays on the right wing, scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 34 games last season. On the other hand, Gutierrez had two goals and nine assists in 40 games while playing as a left-back and in the midfield.
Tsygankov is a modern era winger who is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and set-piece taking abilities. On the other side, the Spanish is reliable in the defensive aspects and is press resistant. He is a good carrier of the ball and provides good ball distributions.
How does Liverpool see them?
Liverpool are impressed with the progress of Girona pair Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez. They are even ready to send scouts to observe the talents from the stands. If they continue to impress, the club might make an attempt signing them in the coming transfer window.
The interest in Viktor Tsygankov is understandable as Mohamed Salah is in the twilight of his career. While everything signals that the Egyptian is ready to sign an extension, the Reds will have to find a suitable replacement sooner or later.
Tsygankov can be useful in that aspect, though he has yet to prove himself in the Premier League. On the other flip, Miguel Gutierrez could be the answer for Liverpool if Trent Alexander-Arnold decides to leave next summer. The right-back is in the final year of his contract and with Real Madrid’s interest heating up, there is a high possibility of him departing from Anfield.
