In a recent report, The Athletic revealed that Manchester City prospect Joel Ndala is close to sealing a loan move to PSV Eindhoven. It is understood that the English winger is set to undergo his medical with the Dutch club soon with PSV having the obligation to buy him permanently next summer.
Ndala’s Impressive Rise In English Football
Ndala has come through the youth ranks of the Mancunian club and did well to prove his worth as a valuable member of their Under-21 team recently. The 18-year-old found the back of the net once and picked up one assist in 17 matches for Man City last season in various competitions.
The talented teenager has caught the eye at times with his performances in the youth levels of English football. He is currently amongst the best young wingers in England but the player has to find a way to earn some first-team minutes if he wants to improve as a footballer.
Hence, it is no surprise that Man City are hoping to loan him out this summer as he would struggle to break into Pep Guardiola’s senior team this season.
Manchester City Prospect Joel Ndala Is Close To Joining PSV Eindhoven: Good Move For Everyone Involved?
Ndala is a decent dribbler with the ball and can make some promising runs with the ball out on the flanks. He can create the odd chance for his teammates when he is playing with confidence on the field. The English whizkid can even strike the ball well from long range. However, he is still quite inexperienced and would need time to prove his worth in top-flight football.
At the moment, Ndala is not a part of Pep Guardiola‘s match-day squad at Man City. Thus, it is only logical for the youngster to move elsewhere in search of more game time at the senior level.
The Mancunian giants can afford to let Ndala leave right now as they have already got a strong midfield department. All in all, Ndala’s loan transfer to PSV Eindhoven this summer would be a good move for both the player and the Mancunian club.
