Newcastle United welcomed Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park earlier this afternoon as they looked to secure a victory at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a solid start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 37th minute when Harvey Barnes found the back of the net with a great finish. Eddie Howe’s men managed to get to the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
The home team conceded the equaliser in the 56th minute when Dan Burn scored an unfortunate own goal. However, Alexander Isak ended up scoring the winning goal in the 78th minute as Newcastle earned a hard-fought 2-1 win in front of their home fans.

He offered decent protection for his teammates but offered very little in the opponent’s half.

The Brazilian talent anchored the midfield well and made one good run with the ball.
CM: Joelinton – 6.5/10
Joelinton worked hard defensively and played a great pass to Jacob Murphy in the lead-up to Isak’s winning goal.
RW: Anthony Gordon – 7/10
Gordon engineered some promising chances for his teammates up top.
ST: Alexander Isak – 7.5/10
He was a constant menace in the final third and managed to score the winner in the 78th minute.
LW: Harvey Barnes – 7.5/10
Barnes opened the goal-scoring with a great finish but offered very little otherwise in the final third.
