West Ham United entertained Manchester City at the London Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to grind out a result at home in the Premier League. The Hammers made a sloppy start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the tenth minute when Erling Haaland found the back of the net. However, West Ham equalised thanks to an own goal from Ruben Dias just nine minutes later. Haaland put Man City ahead once again when he scored his second goal at the half-hour mark. Julen Lopetegui’s men went into the half-time break 2-1 down on the scoreline.
Haaland completed his hat-trick in the 83rd minute which killed the game off. The contest finished with West Ham suffering a tough 3-1 loss in front of their home fans.
