Aston Villa will face off against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this Saturday as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Villans suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss at the hands of Arsenal recently, so they would be eager to bounce back with a win this weekend.
Unai Emery will stick with his favoured 4-4-2 formation and is expected to name a strong first-team for this clash. Diego Carlos will get a chance to play from the start of this game as Matty Cash is currently sidelined due to injury.
4-4-2 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City
Defence
Emiliano Martinez will feature in between the sticks for the Villans after conceding a couple of goals versus Arsenal earlier this month. Diego Carlos will play alongside Pau Torres at the centre of the Aston Villa backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Ezri Konsa will fill in as the right-back while Lucas Digne hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would get the freedom to get forward and express themselves in the Leicester half.
Ian Maatsen will offer cover for the left-back position on the bench.
Midfield
Youri Tielemans and Amadou Onana will anchor the midfield for the Villans as they try to dictate the tempo of the game in the middle of the park. John McGinn will hope to impress as the left-sided wide player while Leon Bailey tries to catch the eye on the right flank. Both of them need to stretch the opponent’s backline by making some well-timed runs in the final third.
Ross Barkley and Jacob Ramsey will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Ollie Watkins and Morgan Rogers will lead the charge for the West Midlands club on the offensive end of the field. Both of them would be eager to get their names on the scoresheet versus the Foxes this weekend.
Jhon Duran will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if required.
