In a recent report, Defensa Central revealed that Real Madrid have identified Al Nassr defender Aymeric Laporte as a target for this summer transfer window. It has been stated that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to bring the Spain international to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium before the end of this month.
Laporte’s Good Run Of Form For Both His Club And Country
Laporte had a solid campaign at the Saudi club recently as he put in a run of impressive performances at the heart of their backline. The France-born talent was involved in 39 matches for Al Nassr last season, netting four goals and grabbing one assist on all fronts.
The Spanish defensive ace gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the field and managed to perform at a high level for his nation in the UEFA Euro 2024 earlier this summer. He helped Spain win the prestigious competition, so it is no surprise that Real Madrid are showing interest in recruiting him this summer.
His current deal at Al Nassr will expire in the summer of 2026. Thus, it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to get a deal over the line for him this month.
Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Get Laporte On Board?
Laporte is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to earn the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears the danger when the opposition are on the front foot and can use his strong 1.91m frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air.
The Spanish sensation is even proficient at playing his way out from the back. He has got a wealth of experience at the highest level and could be a real asset in Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s squad this season.
At 30, Laporte has still got a few good years left in him to play at his best. Therefore, it makes sense for Los Blancos to go all out to get him on board this summer. The Spaniard is good enough to help the Madrid outfit challenge for some major honours over the next few years. All in all, he would be a decent signing for Real Madrid to pull off in the short term.
