In a recent tweet, RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins claimed that Everton are showing interest in Eintracht Frankfurt wide player Junior Dina Ebimbe. It has been stated that the Toffees are eyeing a move to recruit the French winger this month.
Ebimbe’s Impressive Form In German Football Last Season
Ebimbe had a promising campaign at the German club recently as he was responsible for putting in a series of impressive displays on the right flank. The 23-year-old made 44 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, scoring ten goals and grabbing five assists across all competitions.
The French talent was a reliable performer in the opposition half based on his average of 1.7 shots, 0.6 key passes and 1.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in Bundesliga. He was even tidy when distributing possession in the final third, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 76.2% in the German top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current deal at the German club will expire in the summer of 2027 which could make it difficult for the Toffees to land him on the cheap in this transfer period.
What Will Ebimbe Bring To Everton?
Ebimbe can shoot the ball with power and precision from long range and has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. He is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team.
The French sensation is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also operate as a left-winger or as a centre-forward if asked to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in Premier League football.
Ebimbe would bring more goals and creativity to Everton head coach Sean Dyche’s frontline. He is good enough to help the Toffees push for a top-half finish in the Premier League next season.
At 23, Ebimbe has got a bright future ahead and would be a great signing for the Merseyside club in the long run. Therefore, Dyche would be wise to try everything in his power to lure him to Goodison Park this summer.
