4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Ipswich Town
Defence
Alisson Becker will operate in between the sticks for the Reds as he looks to secure a clean sheet away from home. Virgil Van Dijk will operate alongside Jarell Quansah at the centre of Slot’s defence as they try to maintain a solid shape defensively during the 90 minutes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will play as the right-back while Kostas Tsimikas hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would try to get forward and create some decent chances for their teammates up top.
Joe Gomez and Andrew Robertson will be named on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Slot will opt for a midfield three of Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai. Their main job would be to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park and engineer some clear-cut chances for the Reds to win this game.
Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Luis Diaz will try to give a good account of himself as the left-winger. Mohamed Salah will get a chance to weave his magic from the right. Diogo Jota will spearhead Liverpool’s attack in the final third. He has to find a way to be a real menace in and around the Ipswich Town penalty area.
Cody Gakpo will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the final quarter if the Merseyside club are in need of a goal by then.
