Manchester United have signed some great young talents over the past few seasons. The latest addition to the list could be Crystal Palace‘s Samuel Lusale as the club have reached an agreement with him as per Manchester United Youth on X.
Who is Samuel Lusale?
Samuel Lusale is one the most exciting talents in his age group in English football. He is rated highly in the Crystal Palace Academy due to his high potential.
Lusale, who plays for Crystal Palace Under-18 side, has made eight appearances to date. He is a tricky winger who can play on both wings. He has a good physique, pace, dribbling skills, and finishing sense in the final third of the field.
Lusale represents Slovakia at the international level. He recently represented them at the U-17 European Championship in Cyprus. While many thought he would continue his developments at Crystal Palace, the player surprised them with recent reports.
Manchester United’s new strategy
Samuel Lusale has refused a scholarship deal with Crystal Palace as he and his agent find the Manchester United project more promising. The opportunity to play for the latter’s youth club and the possibility to break into the senior side excites him.
It shouldn’t be too surprising at the same time given the statue of the Red Devils. The English giant has a proven record of nourishing the young blood well. Earlier, they used to rely more on ready-made talents to field a performing team.
But the scenario has changed ever since INEOS arrived at the club. Manchester United nowadays are more keen on procuring emerging talents to strengthen their squad. Even if the player fails to meet the expectations, the club look to sell him in hopes of making profits. Chido Obi-Martin and Silva Mexes are also close to joining the Old Trafford.
