According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have scouted Girona’s Miguel Gutierrez. The Premier League want to sign a new left-back in the summer and believe the youngster could be a good option.
Miguel Gutierrez’s impressive season
Miguel Gutierrez was with Getafe before joining Real Madrid in 2011. He showed promising results but couldn’t get enough opportunities. As a result, he made a permanent switch to his current employer Girona in the summer of 2022.
Gutierrez played a crucial role in helping the Spanish side secure the Champions League berth for next season. He featured in 40 games, scoring twice and providing nine assists. He averaged 1 shot, 1.5 key passes, and 0.7 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Spanish player is an attacking-minded left-back who likes to go higher on the pitch to create threats. He has great control over the ball and does neat work in tight spaces. However, he needs to improve his defensive aspects if he wants to be a world-class name.
