When Leonardo Ulloa was signed by Leicester City in the summer of 2014 for a club record fee of £8 million, it was believed that he was going to lead the line for many years; a kind of a durable signing from Brighton & Hove Albion. However, things haven’t worked out the way it was expected. Apparently, owing to the lack of game time under his belt, Ulloa is searching for an outlet in the ongoing transfer window.
The Argentine doesn’t want to content himself by being engineered as a super sub, which is his primary role more often than not. Rather, he wishes to be the leader up front and considering that he is still a very good attacker, here are three destinations that he can embark upon this month.
West Bromwich Albion
This week, Stoke City acquired Saido Berahino from West Bromwich Albion which means there is a clear void for a proven striker in the ranks of Tony Pulis. The Baggies are on the hunt for a striker and thus, a move to the midlands by Ulloa can be witnessed this month. Having someone like him up front will help in taking a lot of load off Salomón Rondón and it would be a great to have the experience of the Leicester City forward in their ranks. Moreover, Pulis admires strikers like Ulloa, who is strong, holds the ball up front, is good in the air and also contributes defensively.
Queens Park Rangers
QPR are being very mediocre this season in the Sky Bet Championship this term, placed seventeenth in the league table. They have found the back of the net merely 25 times out of 26 appearances this season, and are thus languishing in the lower half.
