In a recent report, renowned journalist Florian Plettenberg claimed that Arsenal are locked in a three-way battle for VfB Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy. It has been stated that the Gunners could face competition in the form of Chelsea and AC Milan in the race to land the Guinean striker in the summer.
Guirassy’s Excellent Form In German Football Last Season
Guirassy had a productive campaign in the Bundesliga recently as he produced a series of fruitful displays for Stuttgart in the final third. The Guinean talent participated in 30 matches for the German outfit last season, scoring 30 times and picking up three assists across all fronts.
The 28-year-old led the line well for his team and deserves a ton of credit for averaging 3.3 shots, 1.9 key passes and 0.6 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has even been tidy with his ball distribution after completing 81.4% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2026. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to arrange a cut-price move for him this off-season.

We can expect Guirassy to add more firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s attack. He is good enough to earn a regular first-team place at the Emirates Stadium in the coming seasons as long as he can make a smooth transition to life in Premier League football.
