Newcastle United faced off against Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they tried to secure a win on their travels in the Premier League. The Magpies made a poor start to the contest as they conceded the opening goal in the 31st minute when Kobbie Mainoo got his name on the scoresheet. Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Anthony Gordon equalised for the visitors in the 49th minute. However, Amad Diallo gave Man United the lead once again just eight minutes later before Rasmus Hojlund killed the game off in the 84th minute. Lewis Hall got a goal back for Newcastle in injury time. However, the match ended with the Magpies suffering a 3-2 loss away from home.
