“One game at a time”. That’s how Manchester City are moving forward at this critical stage of the season. Their entire focus is on the Premier League title, which they can win by securing all six points in the remaining two games.
After their last win against Fulham by 4-0, the Citizens are preparing for their next challenge against Tottenham Hotspur. Being an away fixture, it will be a tough battle. If Pep Gaurdiola’s men can overcome this hurdle, the league title is very much in their hands.
4-1-4-1 Manchester City Predicted Lineup Vs Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Ederson didn’t have much to do in the previous game. He will aim at keeping another clean sheet when he takes charge between the sticks this week. Kyle Walker should be walking back into the XI to play as the right full-back.
Nathan Ake suffered a blow and was forced off in the first half against Fulham. He is unlikely to start the game, and John Stones might get the nod to partner up with Ruben Dias in the middle of the defence. Left-back Josko Gvardiol has been the most reliable player for City in the recent past.
The Croatian defender has been doing wonders, and his place in the XI is unquestionable now.
Midfield
While Rodri remains an automatic pick to control the game, Mateo Kovacic might start on the bench if boss Pep Guardiola prefers playing an extra attacker up front.
While Bernardo Silva remains a crucial pick for the right wing, expect Jeremy Doku to get the green light ahead of Jack Grealish on the left flank. Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne will continue playing in the middle of the park.
Attack
Striker of the pack, Erling Haaland, couldn’t breach Fulham’s defence to find the back of the net. Hence, he will be desperate to score against Spurs.
