Newcastle United entertained Brighton and Hove Albion at St. James’ Park earlier today as they focused on securing a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a slow start to the contest as they conceded the opening goal in the 18th minute when Joel Veltman found the back of the net. However, Sean Longstaff equalised for the home team in the first half injury-time as Newcastle went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
