Premier League club Manchester City are very much interested in Besiktas young prodigy Semih Kilicsoy. They are even formulating a bid to acquire his services in the summer transfer window, as per a report published by Turkish outlet Aksam.
Semih Kilicsoy is a wonderkid
Semih Kilicsoy is the most highly-rated Turkish player at present. After his impressive performances with the youth side, he broke into the first side. Though he hasn’t been able to cement his position in the starting lineup, he remains a valuable pick for the coaching team.
Kilicsoy has featured in 29 games this season, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists. He is averaging 2.6 shots, 0.6 key passes, and 1.6 dribbles per game. He is versatile enough to play as a proper striker or even operate on any side of the flank (stats via whoscored).
The 18-year-old can create opportunities with his dribbling and passes. He is also good at taking shots and finishing in the final third. With time, he can improve further and emerge as a premium attacking option in the world of football.
Will Manchester City be able to get their hands on Semih Kilicsoy?
Manchester City are ready to invest in Semil Kilicsoy as he can play in multiple positions in the offensive line. He isn’t someone who must be played as a striker to function well. If that had been the case, the English club wouldn’t be willing to get him as they already have Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez in their ranks as the strikers.
The Citizens are formulating a bid for the youngster and should launch a move in the coming weeks. An offer of around €30 million must do the job as it will be the highest deal ever for Besiktas. However, the signing won’t be a piece of cake.
Kilicsoy’s massive talent has attracted interest in some major clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
