Barcelona will lock horns with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this Sunday as they look to earn all three points on the road in La Liga. The Catalan club suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways this weekend.
Xavi will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Both Joao Felix and Fermin Lopez could get a chance to play from the start of this Clasico.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Real Madrid
Defence
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will function in between the sticks for the Catalan club after shipping in four goals in his last outing. Pau Cubarsi will continue to play alongside Ronald Araujo at the centre of Xavi’s defence as they try to keep the home team at bay during the 90 minutes.
Joao Cancelo will once again fill in as the left-back while Jules Kounde hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the right-back. Both of them need to perform their defensive duties well if Barca want to stand a chance of keeping a clean sheet in this Clasico.
Hector Fort will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Frenkie de Jong, Ilkay Gundogan and Fermin Lopez will make up Barca’s midfield as they focus on making life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to engineer some good chances in the final third.
Pedri will be rested on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Joao Felix will try to prove his worth on the left flank while Raphinha looks to put his pace to good use on the right flank. Robert Lewandowski will lead the charge for the Catalan club on the offensive end of the field.
Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Barca are in need of a goal by then.
