Chelsea have shortlisted a number of alternatives if Diego Costa leaves Chelsea. The Spaniard striker had a bust-up with manager Antonio Conte this season.
Costa didn’t travel with the Chelsea squad that defeated Leicester City 3-0. The 28-year-old has been the main strike force for Chelsea this season having scored 14 goals this season.
Costa recently had an altercation with Conte after the Spaniard complained of an injury to the Blues medical team but Conte didn’t like it. Conte didn’t even take him to Leicester City for the match against the Foxes.
Antonio Conte has identified Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku as the possible replacements of the forward. Alexis Sanchez has been in excellent form for the Gunners and has already netted 14 goals in the English top flight this season.
However, he has only 18 months left on his contract and has rejected the latest contract offer from Arsenal.
Lukaku spent three years at Stamford Bridge and a massive offer might lure him to the club again.
