Things haven’t been going smoothly for Bayern Munich this season. They have already given up on their hopes of turning things around in the domestic league. With the Bundesliga title already gone, they will shift all their focus to the UEFA Champions League.
The Reds will next lock horns with the ruthless Arsenal side in the first leg of the quarter-final round this week. Unfortunately, the German side have been struggling badly and have faced defeat in their last two games. Thomas Tuchel’s men will be lacking in confidence and feeling pressure against the Gunners.
4-2-3-1 Bayern Munich Predicted Lineup Vs Arsenal
Defence
Expect Sven Ulreich to operate between the sticks as Manuel Neuer, who is suffering from a groin injury, is unlikely to be fit for the clash. Joshua Kimmich continues to be a key player in the side and will be deployed as the right-back.
Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae should be the two forming the heart of the defence. However, Matthijs de Ligt and Eric Dier are also possible options for the discussed role. Despite the transfer saga, Alphonso Davies is likely to retain his position in the XI.
Midfield
Konrad Laimer and Leon Goretzka are the two holding midfielders in the lineup. Bayern Munch are sweating over the fitness of Leroy Sane (groin) and Kingsley Coman (thigh). If both of them fail to get the green light, Thomas Muller is the front-runner to play on the right wing.
The left flank will have Serge Gnabry operating on it, while in-form Jamal Musiala takes a centre role in the side.
Attack
Harry Kane is the undisputed striker in the pack. He has the experience of playing in England and has netted 14 goals in his last 19 games against the Gunners. He will be eager to find the back of the net and help his side register a win.
Gabriel Marusic (ACL), Tarek Buchmann (hamstring), Bouna Sarr (ACL), Sacha Boey (hip) and Noel Aseko (ankle) are confirmed absentees, while Noussair Mazraoui and Aleksandar Pavlovic’s participation are subject to fitness.
