Everton will entertain Burnley at St. James’ Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to grab all three points at home in the Premier League. The Toffees managed to grind out a 1-1 draw away at Newcastle United recently which should give them some confidence ahead of this clash at Merseyside.
Sean Dyche will set his men up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Jack Harrison, James Garner and Seamus Coleman will get a chance to impress from the start of this contest versus the Clarets.
4-4-1-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Burnley
Defence
Jordan Pickford will feature in between the sticks for the Toffees after shipping in one goal in his last league appearance. Jarrad Branthwaite will resume his defensive partnership with James Tarkowski at the heart of the Everton backline as they hope to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Seamus Coleman will fill in as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be instructed to keep things solid at the back throughout the game.
Ben Godfrey will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Idrissa Gueye and James Garner will anchor the midfield for the Toffees as they try to make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park. Dwight McNeil will try to catch the eye as the left-sided wide player while Jack Harrison looks to put in a good performance on the right flank.
Abdoulaye Doucoure will once again operate in the number ten position as he looks to cause some problems for the Burnley defenders.
Ashley Young and Andre Gomes will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they try to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin could get a chance to lead the charge for the Merseyside club in the final third after his goal-scoring performance off the bench versus Newcastle recently.
Beto will make way for him and drop to the bench but might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
