Liverpool will entertain Sheffield United at Anfield this Thursday night as they look to pick up all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to secure a narrow 2-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion recently which should give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.
Jurgen Klopp will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to his first team for this clash. Both Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konate could get a chance to play from the start of this game.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Sheffield United
Defence
Caoimhin Kelleher will operate in between the sticks for the Reds after conceding one goal in his last outing. Ibrahima Konate will resume his defensive partnership with Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of Liverpool’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Conor Bradley will fill in as the right-back while Andrew Robertson could get an opportunity to shine as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to put on a good showing for the Reds out on the flanks.
Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez will drop to the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister will once again make up Klopp’s midfield as they look to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to create some clear-cut chances for Liverpool in the final third.
Ryan Gravenberch will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Luis Diaz will look to give a good account of himself on the left wing while Mohamed Salah looks to weave his magic from the right. Darwin Nunez will lead the line for the Merseyside club in the final third. He would be eager to find the back of the net after shooting blanks versus Brighton last weekend.
Cody Gakpo will be available for selection on the bench and might come on in the latter stages if needed.
