In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Real Madrid are hoping to re-sign Manchester United ace Casemiro. It has been stated that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to bring the Brazilian talent back to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the summer.
Casemiro’s Lackluster Season In English Football
Casemiro has endured a frustrating campaign at the Mancunian club as he has struggled to help them find consistency in the Premier League. The Brazilian sensation has registered four goals and grabbed two assists in 17 matches for Man United this season on all fronts.
The 32-year-old has proven his worth at times by averaging 3.3 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, 2.5 clearances, 1.8 shots and 0.8 key passes per game in Premier League football. He has also been careful when distributing the ball from midfield after completing 83.6% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at Old Trafford will expire in the summer of 2026 which would make it tough for Real Madrid to land him on the cheap at the end of this campaign.
Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Bring Casemiro Back This Summer?
Casemiro remains a tough-tackling midfielder who can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t hesitate to clear the danger when needed and can strike the ball with venom from long range. Standing at 1.85m, Casemiro can use his strong frame to make life tough for the opposition in the middle of the park.
The Brazilian talent has also got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates up top. He already knows the Madrid club from his long and successful spell with them recently. Hence, Casemiro won’t take much time to settle into life at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
We can expect him to bring more bite and steel to Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield and help the Madrid giants compete across all competitions over the next few years. At 32, Casemiro might still have a couple of good seasons left in him to play at a high level. Thus, it makes sense for Ancelotti to try and bring the Brazilian midfield ace back to the Spanish capital when the transfer window commences later this year.
