According to certain reports, Mauricio Pochettino and his Chelsea coaching staff believes Mykhailo Mudryk lacks a football brain. However, those reports have been dismissed. The Ukrainian winger joined the Blues from Shakhtar Donetsk for £88.5 million a year ago, but has struggled to meet expectations. Mudryk, 23, has started just nine Premier League games this season and is definitely not one of Pochettino’s top offensive alternatives. According to a recent Football Insider article, Pochettino believes the 23-year-old lacks some critical skills to fit into his system of play.
Mykhailo Mudryk reports dismissed
Mudryk hasn’t been doing well and a lot of people are criticizing him. His team hasn’t been playing great either, and Mudryk’s own performance has been getting worse in the last few games. He’s only played in nine Premier League games this season, and it seems like Pochettino doesn’t really want him to play in the attacking positions.
As per a recent report, the coach from Argentina thinks the 23-year-old doesn’t have a football brain important skills needed to play in his team’s style. But the latest news says those reports aren’t true.
Reports that Mykhailo Mudryk has been told “he doesn’t have a football brain” have been fundamentally and emphatically shut down by sources close to the player and Chelsea.

Chelsea are worried about his ability to make good plays and work with the team. Mudryk hasn’t started in any of Chelsea’s last three games, and his spot has been taken by Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling, who have both played well on the left side. Because of this, people are worried about Mudryk’s future at Stamford Bridge.
Mudryk scored a few times this season, but it seems like Pochettino still doesn’t trust him to play regularly. Sometimes he shows he can be really good, like the people who signed him hoped, but they probably wanted him to do even better this season.
It seems Mudryk probably won’t get to start in the club’s most important game of the season on Sunday at Wembley. Chelsea will play against Liverpool in the EFL Cup final, and Pochettino wants to win his first trophy in English football. He has to decide who to put in the attacking positions, and he’s definitely thinking about starting Christopher Nkunku.
