Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has claimed that the Blues can cope without Diego Costa. Chelsea defeated Leicester City 3-0 to cement their position at the top.
Marcos Alonso scored a brace and Pedro netted a third as Chelsea thrashed the defending champions. Diego Costa didn’t feature in this match as he was dropped after his alleged bust-up with Antonio Conte regarding an injury.
The 28-year old has also attracted interest from China recently. Costa had earlier missed a match due to suspension and this is the second time that Chelsea played without him in the League. Conte used Eden Hazard up front as he did against Bournemouth.
The English international said, “Diego is a massive player for us “You’ve seen this season.
“He wasn’t here and we put Pedro, [Eden] Hazard and Willian up there, so you try and defend against them! It’s very difficult.
“But if someone is missing, we produce and we’re delighted with the result.”
