Arsene Wenger has played down Alexis Sanchez’s frustration after the player was being substituted against Swansea.
The Gunners blanked Swansea 4-0 to take the third place in the Premier League. Sanchez scored Arsenal’s fourth goal what was his 14th goal in the Premier League this season but Wenger decided to take the player off after just six minutes he had registered his name on the score sheet.
Sanchez also showed some similar display when Arsenal drew 3-3 against Bournemouth. The Chilean’s future is already in doubt after he rejected a contract extension but Wenger refused to give this matter much attention.
The gaffer said, “All the players are frustrated when they come off, some show it, some not.
“I’m long enough in the job to know that. I just make the decision I feel is right, that’s it.
“He (Sanchez) is a good guy who gives a lot and who always wants to do well for the team.
“There’s no problem. In every culture it’s different.
“Some South Americans are a bit different to Europeans. Southern Europeans are more different to northern Europeans, you have to respect that.”
