The trip to Liberty Stadium turned out to be a rare easy outing for the Gunners as they rode on four soft goals to beat a struggling Swansea City side which looked atrocious at the back. The win takes Arsenal to the third place in the league table momentarily as they wait for Manchester City and Liverpool to play their respective games on Sunday.
Cech (7.5/10) – Despite the one-sided scoreline, Cech was surprisingly called to action quite a few times, mostly in the first-half. Overall, a much-needed clean sheet for the old man of the team.
Monreal (8/10) – Yet another impressive display from the Spaniard. In the first half, he was the best among the back four by miles and had a gruelling time with Swansea’s Naughton. After Sanchez moved up central, he had more running up to do on the left flank and he provided the overlaps quite efficiently.
Koscielny (7/10) – Was incredibly lucky not to concede the penalty just after the first goal. Other than that, he looked nervy at times in the first half, which included the reluctant header back to Mustafi and giving away possession. Was quite solid in the second half, though.
Mustafi (7.5/10) – Arsenal continued the record of not losing, whenever he has played. Although he looked sloppy at times, it never created any awkward situation at the back. Apart from that, he was usually composed in his passing and is one of the best players to have when the team is all out in the attack.
Gabriel (7.5/10) – Is it just me or everyone else feels the same that he is more comfortable in the right back position than centrally? Of course, he doesn’t have the pace of Bellerin, but his composure was worth appreciating. Gave away the ball in a dangerous position once, though, but was decent overall.
Xhaka (8/10) – The string of regular playing time since the whole of last month has helped him settle in English football. He was exactly what an anchorman should be. Finished 72 successful passes, mostly in the attacking third and recovered the ball seven times.
Ramsey (7.5/10) – Definitely a huge impact when the team moves on the counter, but he needs to take his chances more often. After scoring the equaliser last week against Preston, he was expected to get back his touch, but he missed an easy opportunity yet again. His ability to find players up front is brilliant.
Iwobi (8.5/10) – He would definitely not count the two goals as his own although they are credited to his name. Not taking anything from him, though, as he was the most vibrant figure in the attacking third. A good display from the youngster and a much-needed brace to increase his hunger.
Ozil (8/10) – Looked quite refreshing in his approach and recovered the ball the most number of times in the whole squad. It shows his intelligent play Wenger often talks about. Should have taken his chances, though, they fell to his feet fortuitously.
Sanchez (8.5/10) – Playing him on the flanks would be disrespecting his abilities. He looked visually frustrated in the first half when he didn’t see much of the ball. But, when he was on the ball, Swansea players could hardly take it from him. Got his goal and looked happy for a second there.
Giroud (8/10) – It is still not understandable, why Arsenal don’t play from the flanks when he is up front. He is not the best chaser of the ball and couldn’t create many problems when Arsenal were making recovery runs. Was unbeatable in the air though and can’t seem to stop scoring at the moment. Fans would hope his injury isn’t that bad.
Oxlade-Chamberlain (7.5/10) – Came on early in the second half compared to when Wenger subs normally and provided his high-octane pace on the right flank. His marauding take-on initiated the move that ended with Sanchez scoring.
