In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Tottenham Hotspur could reignite their interest in Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa. It has been mentioned that Spurs are hoping to go back in for the Norweigan wide player next summer as they look to bolster their attack for the future.
Nusa’s Impressive Form In Belgian Football
The 18-year-old has caught the eye with his performances on the left side of Club Brugge’s frontline during this campaign. Nusa has done well to register four goals and pick up three assists in 28 matches for the Belgian club this season across all fronts.
The Norwegian talent has been a decent performer in the final third based on his average of 1.7 shots, 1.1 key passes and 2.5 dribbles per game in the Jupiler Pro League. He has even been careful with his ball distribution after making 81.4% of his attempted passes in the Belgian first division (stats via whoscored).
Nusa’s current contract at the Belgian club will run out in the summer of 2027. Thus, Spurs would have to make a big offer if they want to recruit the Norwegian sensation at the end of this campaign.
Is Nusa A Decent Choice For Tottenham Hotspur?
Nusa can use his quickness to make a few driving runs with the ball out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some meaningful openings for his teammates on the offensive end of the field and can shoot the ball with venom and accuracy from long range.
The Norwegian youngster mainly plays as a left-winger but can also serve as a right-sided wide player or as a striker if asked to do so. We can expect him to add more firepower to Tottenham boss Angelos Postecoglu’s frontline.
At 18, Nusa has the potential to become a generational talent. Hence, he would be an excellent choice for Spurs to pursue in the long term. Nusa could even help Tottenham challenge for some major trophies over the next decade. However, the Norwegian wing wizard would need time to cope with the physical side and high intensity of English football if Postecoglu manages to snap him up at the end of this season.
