In a recent report, ABC Sevilla revealed that Everton are hoping to land Real Betis winger Luiz Enrique. It has been stated that the Toffees are eager to seal a move for the Brazilian wide player before the end of this month.
Henrique’s Up and Down Form In La Liga
The 23-year-old is having an up-and-down season at the Spanish club as he has put in a few eye-catching displays for them but has struggled to find consistency with his performances on the right side of their attack. Henrique has made 20 appearances for Real Betis during this campaign, netting one goal and grabbing three assists in the process across various competitions.
The Petropolis-born talent has seen a lot of his game time come off the bench but has done well to average 1.3 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per game in La Liga. However, he has to find a way to improve his ball distribution as evidenced by his pass success rate of 73.3% in the Spanish first division (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at Real Betis will run out in the summer of 2028. Hence, it won’t be easy for Everton to get a deal done for him on the cheap before the end of this transfer window.
What Will Henrique Bring To Everton?
Henrique is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can set up a few clear-cut chances for others around him in the final third when he is playing at the top of his game. The Brazilian sensation is a technically gifted footballer who can shoot the ball with power and accuracy from long range. However, as mentioned earlier, he has to find a way to improve his link-up play in the opponent’s half.
Henrique will bring more firepower to Everton head coach Sean Dyche’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the Merseyside club in the coming seasons.
Therefore, the Toffees would be wise to try everything they can to bring Henrique on board in this winter transfer period. At 23, he has his best years ahead of him which makes him a worthy target for the Merseyside club to pursue this month.
