Connor Smith is set to leave Hearts and go on loan again this month. He has just returned from playing for Scunthorpe United. This will be Smith’s second loan this season, and his contract at Tynecastle Park expires in six months. Prior to this, he was on loan at Scunthorpe last August and performed admirably, netting six goals in 16 appearances. They wanted to keep him, but they couldn’t, so he returned to Edinburgh last week.

Apparently both Scottish Premiership sides Motherwell and St Johnstone are in the running for the player.

Owen Beck could join Celtic

Owen Beck might join Celtic, but if he plays even once for Liverpool this month, he can’t move to Celtic. If Liverpool’s coach, Jurgen Klopp, lets him play for the main team before the month ends, Dundee would have the best chance to get him on loan again. This is because there’s a FIFA rule that says a player can only play for two clubs in a season, and he’s already played for Liverpool and Dundee.

Rangers could sign a forward

Even though Rangers recently signed Fabio Silva, they’re trying to get another forward before January ends. According to Pete O’Rourke, they plan to use the money from selling Ridvan Yilmaz to help with this. After sending Lammers on loan to Utrecht, Rangers still need more attacking players for Philippe Clement’s squad in the Scottish Premiership. They are considering signing Lawrence Shankland from Hearts as one of the options.

Caoimhin Kelleher won’t join Celtic this window

Liverpool doesn’t want Caoimhin Kelleher to leave in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. Celtic has been interested in the 25-year-old goalkeeper, but it seems like any deal might have to wait until the summer. Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool boss, believes Kelleher is important for the team and doesn’t want him to go, even though he hasn’t played much in the first team lately.

Cameron Carter-Vickers could leave Celtic

Cameron Carter-Vickers has been really important for Celtic’s defense since he joined in 2021, and now several other teams are interested in him. West Ham United, Nottingham Forest, and Brentford want to get him, according to multiple sources.
