Hull City failed to impress in the Premier League when they made their way to the Premier League the last time. That ended in an immediate relegation but the Tigers fought back and immediately made their comeback to the top tier. However, Hull City are in a very tricky place right now without a manager following the departure of Steve Bruce from the club after four long years at the KC Stadium.
Hull City are yet to find the successor of Bruce and have not really made their mark in the transfer market. With the new season starting this weekend, Hull City have to buckle up really soon or else they will be left behind by rivals.
Here are three Hull City players to watch out for this season
Michael Dawson
The 32-year-old Hull city skipper has a point to prove in the Premier League. Once the skipper of Spurs, Dawson knows the Premier League inside out and his experience could prove to be pivotal for the Tigers this campaign, The English international played a major role in bringing Hull back to the Premier League. One of the older players at the club, the former Spurs stopper will be keen to show that he still has it.
Tom Huddlestone
Another player who was deemed surplus to requirements at Spurs is the 29-year-old. The Englishman is one of the most pivotal players at KC Stadium and his performance will have a key role in Hull City’s future. Huddlestone is a defensive midfielder who likes to sit deep and protect his back-four. A very good tackler and someone who can win the ball, Huddlestone is a pretty good passer of the ball. He likes to spray passes across the pitch for his teammates and builds a solid foundation of the team. We definitely have to watch out for the 29-year-old this season.
Abel Hernandez
The 26-year-old was one of the reasons why Hull City are in the Premier League this season. Hernandez scored 20 goals in the Championship last season from 39 games and will be leading the club’s attack in the Premier League this campaign. In the 2014-15 season. Hernandez was a major flop in the Premier League managing just four goals from 26 goals. The Uruguayan will be keen to show that he has what it takes to set the Premier League on fire. We will certainly have our eyes on how the 26-year-old fares in the top tier this campaign.
