Liverpool will entertain Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday evening as they try to secure a positive result in front of their home fans. The Reds secured a dominant 5-1 win over West Ham United in the EFL Cup recently which should give them a lot of confidence going into this game.
Jurgen Klopp will set his team up in the 4-3-3 formation once again and could revert to his strongest first XI for this contest. Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker and Ibrahima Konate will all get a chance to play from the start of this game.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Reds after he was rested in midweek. Virgil Van Dijk will resume his partnership with Ibrahima Konate at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they focus on stopping the Arsenal attackers from scoring this weekend.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will be named as the right-back while Kostas Tsimikas hopes to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez will be named on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Klopp could go with a midfield comprised of Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai. Both Jones and Szoboszlai were excellent for Liverpool in midweek and would have to carry some of the offensive workload for them this Saturday.
Harvey Elliott will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required. However, there are some concerns over the availability of Alexis Mac Alisster and Ryan Gravenberch this weekend.
Attack
Luis Diaz will try to catch the eye on the left flank while Mohamed Salah hopes to get his name on the scoresheet from the right. Darwin Nunez will lead the charge for Klopp’s side down the middle.
Cody Gakpo will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to catch the eye in the latter stages of the contest if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
