West Ham United will entertain Manchester United at the London Stadium this Saturday as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Hammers suffered a 5-1 loss at the hands of Liverpool recently, so they would be eager to bounce back with a win this weekend.
David Moyes will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and could name a strong team for this game. Both Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd could get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Manchester United
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski will feature in goal for the Hammers after being rested in midweek. Kurt Zouma will function alongside Nayef Aguerd at the centre of the West Ham backline as they try to keep the Man United attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Vladimir Coufal will operate as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Angelo Ogbonna will drop to the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.
Midfield
James Ward-Prowse will play alongside Edson Alvarez at the centre of Moyes’ midfield as they focus on offering decent protection for their teammates at the back. The gifted trio of Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Mohammed Kudus will play just ahead of them as part of the West Ham attack. All three of them need to find a way to engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma will make up the numbers on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Jarrod Bowen will spearhead West Ham’s attack up top. He would try to get in behind the Man United backline and cause problems for them during the game.
Michail Antonio is unlikely to be ready in time for this game. However, Danny Ings should be available for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the clash if the Hammers are in need of a goal by then.
