Diaby And Kamara To Start | 4-4-2 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup Vs Manchester City

Aston Villa will welcome Manchester City at Villa Park this Wednesday night as they look to grind out a good result in front of their home fans. The Villans were held to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth recently, so they would be keen on returning to winning ways this week.

Unai Emery will set his men up in a 4-4-2 formation and could make a couple of changes to his first team for this game. Moussa Diaby and Boubacar Kamara are expected to play from the start while Nicolo Zaniolo and Youri Tielemans make way for them and drop to the bench.

Defence

Emiliano Martinez will function in goal for the Villans after shipping in a couple of goals in his last Premier League outing. Pau Torres will resume his defensive partnership with Pau Torres at the centre of Aston Villa’s defence as they focus on keeping things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.

Ezri Konsa will once again get the nod to play as the right-back while Lucas Digne hopes to give a good account of himself as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well if they want to limit the chances that Man City create from the flanks.

Matty Cash will provide cover for the right-back spot on the bench.

Midfield

Douglas Luiz and Boubacar Kamara will anchor the midfield for the home team as they look to make life difficult for the opposition in the middle of the park. John McGinn will be a nailed-on starter on the left wing while Leon Bailey looks to catch the eye on the right flank. Both of them will be given the license to stretch the pitch out in the wide areas.

Jacob Ramsey and Youri Tielamans will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.

Attack

Ollie Watkins and Moussa Diaby will lead the line for the West Midlands club in the attacking end of the pitch. Emery would rely on them to do most of the damage in this midweek contest at Villa Park.

Nicolo Zaniolo will be named on the bench.
