Newcastle United will entertain Manchester United at St. James’ Park this Saturday night as they look to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Magpies were held to a 1-1 draw away at Paris Saint-Germain recently, so they would be eager to return to winning ways versus the Red Devils this weekend.
Eddie Howe will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name a strong starting XI for this game. The Newcastle head coach could keep changes to a minimum for this clash in Tyneside.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Manchester United
Defence
Nick Pope will feature in between the sticks for the Magpies after shipping in one goal in his last appearance. Fabian Schar will play alongside Jamaal Lascelles at the centre of Newcastle’s defence as they focus on keeping the opposition at bay throughout the 90 minutes.
Kieran Trippier will try to catch the eye as the right-back while Tino Livramento fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would be hungry to get forward and make a difference for Newcastle in the final third.
Paul Dummett will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Lewis Miley will make up Newcastle’s midfield as they try to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park. All three of them need to work hard if the Magpies are to come out on top this weekend.
Attack
Anthony Gordon will get an opportunity to catch the eye as the left-winger while Miguel Almiron tries to put his quickness to good use on the right flank. Alexander Isak will lead the line for the Tyneside club in the final third. He managed to score versus PSG in midweek which should keep him in high spirits ahead of this game.
Lewis Hall needs to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the final quarter if needed.
