Manchester City entertained Red Bull Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Mancunian club made a slow start to the contest and conceded the opening goal in the 13th minute when Lois Openda found the back of the net. Openda doubled his team’s advantage in the 33rd minute as Pep Guardiola’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
Erling Haaland got a goal back for the Mancunian club in the 54th minute before Phil Foden equalised for them in the 70th minute. Julian Alvarez ended up scoring a dramatic goal in injury time as the contest finished 3-2 in favour of the home team.
