In a recent report, Sport mentioned that Barcelona are eyeing a move for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane. It has been stated that the Catalan club are hoping to land the German sensation as they look to strengthen their squad next year.
Sane’s Impressive Numbers In Bundesliga
Sane is enjoying a decent campaign at the Bavarian club as he has put in a run of impressive displays on the right side of their attack. The 27-year-old has scored nine goals and earned seven assists in 18 matches for Bayern this season on all fronts.
The Essen-born talent has been a reliable performer on the right flank based on his average of 3.0 shots, 3.4 key passes and 4.3 dribbles per game in Bundesliga. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from the wide areas after completing 83.4% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2025. Thus, Barcelona could potentially sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.

Sane has got the pace to beat his marker with ease out in the wide areas. He is an excellent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can create a few clear-cut chances for his teammates in the final third. The German international can shoot the ball with venom and accuracy from long range. He has also been consistent with his offensive numbers from the flanks.
Sane is primarily a right-winger but can also function as a left-sided wide player or as an attacking midfielder if needed. Thus, he would be an excellent signing for Barcelona to pull off in 2024.
