Son Leads The Line, Vicario In Goal | 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI Vs Fulham

The London derby scheduled for Monday between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham will mark the conclusion of Premier League Matchday 9. Under the leadership of their new manager, Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have surpassed all predictions, entering the October international break sharing the top position in the table with their north London counterparts, Arsenal.

Postecoglu will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make a few changes to his starting XI for this game. Micky van de Ven will resume his defensive partnership with Christian Romero but Yves Bissouma remains sidelined after picking up a red in the 1-0 victory against Luton Town before the international break.

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will operate in goal for Spurs after keeping a clean sheet in his last Premier League outing. Cristian Romero will continue to play alongside Micky van de Ven at the heart of Tottenham’s backline as they look to keep the Fulham forwards at bay during the game.

Pedro Porro will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Destiny Udogie hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Postecoglu will ask both of them to keep things solid at the back and get forward to create opportunities in the front.

Ben Davies and Emerson Royal will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Pape Matar Sarr will operate as defensive midfielders as they look to make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.

Maddison will have to carry most of the creative burden for Tottenham in the final third acting as the advanced attacking midfielder. Richarlison will try to give a good account of himself on the left flank while Dejan Kulusevski will look to weave his magic as the right-winger.

Attack

Heung-min Son will lead the charge at North London as he looks to get his name on the scoresheet having failed to register a goal in his last outing.

Brennan Johnson will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages if told to do so.
