Manchester City will lock horns with Brighton and Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday as they look to bounce back with a win in the Premier League. The Mancunian club suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at the hands of Arsenal recently, so we can expect them to go all out in search of the three points this weekend.
Pep Guardiola will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his starting XI for this game. Rodri, Julian Alvarez and Manuel Akanji will get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
4-3-3 Manchester City Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence
Ederson will retain his place in goal for the Mancunian giants after shipping in one goal versus Arsenal before the international break. Manuel Akanji will function alongside Ruben Dias at the centre of the North London club’s defence as they try to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Nathan Ake will fill in as the left-back while Kyle Walker hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would get the license to get forward and express themselves in the Brighton half.
Josko Gvardiol will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Bernardo Silva, Rodri and Julian Alvarez will make up Man City’s midfield as they focus on dominating the ball at the centre of the park and creating enough chances to win this contest.
Mateo Kovacic and Oscar Bobb will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Phil Foden will get a chance to make a difference from the right-wing while Jack Grealish looks to prove his worth on the left flank.
Erling Haaland will once again lead the line for the Mancunian outfit in the final third. He has to find a way to threaten the Brighton goal during the 90 minutes.
Jeremy Doku will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages of the game if Man City are in need of a goal by then.
