In a recent segment on BBC, journalist Luke Edwards revealed that Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid. Edwards said,
“I think Mbappe has his heart set on this Real Madrid move, but I think there might be a bit of action in January. Premier League clubs have money. If Manchester City decided they wanted to make a move for Mbappe and got encouragement from Mbappe’s camp, I could see Manchester City going in for him. There have been vague rumours of Liverpool being interested as well. There has been some contact between clubs via intermediaries in the past. I think there might just be a bit of action in January. I don’t know where he would rather go.”
Mbappe’s Impressive Run Of Form In Ligue 1
The 24-year-old has been in fine form for PSG in front of the opponent’s goal during this campaign as he has put in a run of productive displays up top. Mbappe has banged in eight goals in nine appearances for the French outfit this season on all fronts.
The France international has been a consistent performer in the final third based on his average of 4.9 shots, 1.7 key passes and 2.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He was even accurate when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half based on his pass completion rate of 89.5% in league football (stats via whoscored).
Is Mbappe A Dream Signing For Real Madrid?
Mbappe can engineer a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He is a deadly finisher in front of the opponent’s goal and can also make some dangerous runs with the ball on the attacking end of the pitch.
The French attacker has also got the eye to play a few decisive passes in the opposition half. Hence, it makes sense for Los Blancos to move in for him this January or sign him on a free transfer at the end of this campaign.
Mbappe will add plenty of firepower to Real Madrid‘s frontline. He could even help the Madrid outfit win a lot of major trophies over the next decade. Thus, the France international would be a dream signing for Los Blancos to consider next year.
